The policy of Packaging 4 is to provide our customers with safe and legal product of world-class standard which consistently meets the customer’s requirements, is manufactured within the BRC/IoP standards of accreditation each and every time and in a manner that minimises adverse effects on the environment.

In addition, the company aims to use best practice to ensure that all staff understand the importance of quality, hygiene and environmental management and are committed to working practices which assure the required standards of quality and hygiene, whilst minimising the possibility of environmental damage. In order to measure this performance against the requirements of the BRC/IoP standards, the company will be regularly audited, both internally and externally.

Senior management will ensure that, in the completion of the company’s activities:-

- all appropriate legislative requirements are met;
- the requirements of any relevant standards and codes of practice are addressed,   including the BRC/IoP certificate for which the company was accredited in February 2003;
- the aspects of the business operations which impact significantly on the environment   are established and addressed;
- use is made of the best available technology;
- appropriate training and employee development is carried out;
- adequate supervision, monitoring and measurement are used.

To achieve the objectives of this policy, Packaging 4 has put into place a HACCP team to implement and maintain a Quality and Environmental Management System which is based upon the requirements of the BRC/IoP standard that will meet the relevant legislative requirement and specifications agreed with customers. This team is committed to producing safe packaging materials through good manufacturing practices.

Senior management is committed to this policy and will support designated policy champions in the continuous examination and improvement of its products, processes and procedures for quality and environmental management.

This policy will be communicated internally, as appropriate, and published in corporate documentation and on the company’s website.”
